Running boards, keep or remove?

those are horrible! I ripped them off the 1st week and sold them on Craigslist for $250 in 1 day. I have short people so I bought NFabs ($319) and havent looked back. With that said as soon as the kids are older they are going buh bye!

I tend to agree. Do you drive your family around in it? Any complaints about getting in?

I drive our 2year old fairly often, but I lift him into his seat....my pregnant wife is not crazy about climbing up/into the truck, but if we are both going somewhere then we typically take our minivan.

The ones that 2015 (SR5P) comes with is the all black running board. You can get as much as $300 for them. Some people still want them, especially they have family and kids that need to get into the car easier.

If you want rugged look, go get a rock slider. You already got the TRD wheels, you should go get a real slider.

I just removed mine and upgraded with Shrockworks sliders. I'm not a fan of running boards but had to compromise something for the fiancé. I do like that the running boards protect the rockers from rock chips and road debris though.

they are big and bulky and just plain ugly. Do they work? sure.... but my God they are disgusting! lol

You pay for those sliders, where did you buy them, what's the brand name and were they hard to install?

depends on what you go with. Removing them is just 6 bolts perside, takeas about 15 minutes. NFabs and other running boards mount in th esame location. some sliders requires drilling/tapping/welding so really it just depends on what you want.

I would want sliders that could be put on without anything drastic done. I guess I just have to do some research. I need to find the different styles of sliders that I can get. I like the one that the other owner posted above.

Do the the Shrockwork sliders extend far enough out to be used as a step? Or are you better off with the tread plates? What's the advantage of 2 vs 3 column slider?
