What's the most gas you have put in your truck in one fill up. Running out of gas on the side of the road doesn't count.

15.229 gallons

I can't remember the exact amount, but Ive exceeded 17 gallons before. Full disclosure, I had a full 5 gallon tank on my bumper, so I wasn't worried about running out.

I don't remember the exact number, but it was 17 point something. One of these days I need to go drive around with a spare can so I can measure exactly how many miles I get after the light comes on, because these gauges suck.

Like 13.2 lol

My fuel light hasn't come on since I've had the truck, but I'm not completely sure it works, or that the gauge is accurate after 1/4 tank. It seems to just stay there once it gets that low, as opposed to the pretty consistent, gradual drop from Full down to 1/4. Maybe I'm paranoid lol. I'm averaging around 17.8 mpg, best was 19.2. I always run premium (I know it isn't required, but it makes me feel better lol).

Haha, suck is an understatement.

^^ agreed

At least ya'lls gas gauges work...

Appears 16.5 is the most I've put in at once.

I just had 17.2 the other day. What really kills me is when I'm towing the 6x12 enclosed trailer at 65+mph. I'm right around 10mpg and the gauge doesn't register fast enough. I've run out twice now!

Funny you ask, I filled up the other day coming back from PA (my light was on, but it had just some on) and I got 17.9. I looked at the pump and the last time the pump was measured was in 2009.. I am pretty sure I did not put nearly 18 gal of fuel in on top of the gallon or two that was in the tank... This happened in Long Island a few months ago in my 2013 also. light was not on, and it still took 22.1 gal.

I've put in 19+ before. But, that was going all the way till it was coming out. Going on a long trip and wanted to stop as least times as possible.

70 litre tank.
Low fuel light comes on with 10 left. That's when I go.
It's been a high a 66 litres (1 US gal left) but rarely do I ever let it go that low.

Most for me was 17.3 gallons, but I average 14.6 per fill-up.

But these are Toyotas, when the gas light comes on, you still have like 70 miles before empty... at least. A couple times, just to check, I got gas right when the light came on and I could have gone another 4 gallons worth of miles out of it. My Corolla is the same way.

ran out of gas the other day , light was not on yet , started bucking and stalled 200 ft from the gas station . got it started just enough to roll into the gas station .
took 16.37 gallons totally filled , i thought these trucks had 18.5 gallon tanks ?

STORY TIME!
So a week ago today i ran out of gas, i was in I15 north 2 miles away from pocitello Idaho, the truck was towing the uhaul 5X8 trailer and i was reaching 230 miles on that tank.

so 2 miles out it sputtered once and a while, but picked back up and accelerated like normal. then 10 seconds later it would cut out.
the further i was going the slower i was going, i could never retain my 70 mph,

about a mile out from an exit i was running at 30 mph on the shoulder with my hazards on limping to the off ramp.
It would die. put in N. coasting... wait a few seconds, restart, accelerate, back to about 40 MPH then it would die. coasting, coasting coasting.

i was about half a mile out from the exit and it would not start.
coasting to the exit, down the off ramp, and the gas station sign said .2 to the right. i run the stop sign, run the second stop sign and still coasting i drive it right up to the pump about 3mph, not even using the brakes for the past 2 miles.

So hows that about being out of gas?!!!

My truck did that once, it doesn't like going to completely empty. I'm pretty sure that was the time I got 17.3 gal.

You better change your fuel filter after that. I bet you sucked up all sorts of sediment and crud from the bottom of your fuel tank!

I remember my buddy and I seeing "how far we could go" through the middle of BFE Nebraska in a rental focus. "Next gas station is in 40 miles, think we can make it?" It can be a fun game :D
