Rustproofing time

When is the best month to rust proof your vehicle? Some say to do it before the winter and I even heard some people say do it in the summer.

Summer. Thanks for reminding me. There is nothing more awful than having to heat up and spray undercoating wax on a cold fall day.

I like to do mine twice a year, spring and fall and I use LPS 3 but there a others who use Fluid film and even WD40 with great results.

Summer is always the best when its nice and hot and what ever folks use for rust proofing can flow around really good. :-)

Summer for me is always "working on the vehicles season".

I hate to work on a drippy, sticky, messy car so I undercoat in the fall just before the salt road season begins, or whenever I am through under there. By spring most of the undercoating has gone.

I find Fluid Film to be very good timing. By spring it is mostly gone.
