Good job!! Your 4runner is taking one heck of a turn lately. Those tube doors look really good on it. Now you need a SAS and bigger tires
I love looking at pics of it the day I bought it. Inspires me to keep going.

I don't think I could do tube doors--it would force me to be responsible, and not throw my trash in the passenger floorboard (LOL)! Not to mention all the odds-n-ends I haul around half the time either on the back seat or in front of it ("Hey, did my gloves just fly out? Is that my roll of shop towels back there on the road?").

A couple things going on this coming week.
I should be getting an OME 2" lift kit VERY soon! I bought it used with low mileage. Can't wait to post pics of the install! The kit I am getting has torsion bars, but I may opt for BJ spacers instead, we'll see. I have a strange feeling that I will immediately start looking for bigger tires after the kit is up. If you're interested in a set of BFG AT KO 31x10.5x15 with only 6000 miles on them, send me a PM and we can talk. They are great tires, I just want bigger.
A couple notes on tube doors.
Definitely secure your gear! Man did it get windy yesterday! I felt like at any moment that I would fly out of the truck myself. I've been driving it to and from work for a couple days just to show off. I LOVE the looks I get driving with them on. Nothing but positive comments so far.

Stronger torsion bars will let you carry more weight, but they don't add lift. You still have to crank 'em to do that, and the ride will still get stiffer. Definitely install them, especially if you have plans to add a winch down the road, but unless you're going to SAS really soon I'd go for the balljoint spacers.

Winch will be the next thing I buy after the lift. No plans to SAS soon, but I do plan on doing it eventually. Good info on the torsion bars. Thanks.

So I finally have my lift kit! May be a while before I get it on. I still need to buy ball joints, spacers and extended break lines. I hope to have all that done by the end of June. I plan to start taking it all apart this week. I have to replace the starter ASAP. It's about had it. Still gonna wheel it tomorrow though before I park it for tear down.
I have a new friend that welds and bends metal! He's going to make me sliders in exchange for bass guitar lessons. Still plan to get my rear bumper from AOR before we go to Moab! Also keeping my eye out for a good set of 33" KM2's at the right price. There's my update!

So there ar some issues with my lift. I have to wait for a few parts. In the meantime, slave labor removed my rear sway bar.
Then stopped and picked up my winch, Smitty Built XRC8.
Put slave labor to work installing said winch.
About an hour later, my slav labor did a good job.
Side note for those considering AOR winch bumper. We did have to cut the grill to make it fit.
Picked up a used starter as well today to replace mine. I have been having starter problems, but that will be a different thread.
