S.S. Minnow Build Thread

Nice man!

That bumper looks much better with that winch in there.

Get some good pictures tomorrow!

Hey Bill, my truck needs some work done to it--does your slave labor force travel? The winch looks good--nice addition!

I'm sure it can be arranged. Just drive out here and pick them up. You can just trade me your rig for the labor. I think they are mowing SVD's lawn today.

So there ar some issues with my lift. I have to wait for a few parts. In the meantime, slave labor removed my rear sway bar.

Then stopped and picked up my winch, Smitty Built XRC8.

Put slave labor to work installing said winch.

About an hour later, my slav labor did a good job.

Side note for those considering AOR winch bumper. We did have to cut the grill to make it fit.

Picked up a used starter as well today to replace mine. I have been having starter problems, but that will be a different thread.

Beauty of a remote solenoid box is that it can be mounted anywhere. You didn't have to cut the grill, but based on where you mounted you needed to. A simple tab welded to the bumper or even mounting it under the hood and you wouldn't have had to cut it.

You guys always tell me things like this after the fact. LOL!

Scotty-Can your rear bumper be mounted with the stock carrier for the spare?

I'm interested in what you can do to the rear bumper (yours) for a tire carrier. Lets hear it.

I just build it around the carrier. Its not rocket science, but it would have to be built on the rig itself and it will NOT be removable. It will be welded on, which is why it will never be a production model and why nobody offers them.

New Firestick antenna and a very unique mount. Since I had to relocate my license plate anyway (kept getting smashed) I found a good way to use the old plate mount. Works like a charm and my CB now has great range.

Better be careful crossing any narrow ditches/ravines or anything with a steep departure angle--your new mount may get torn off. Just a thought.

Aww, you shoulda' got a few of those shag-carpet steering wheel covers (red, to match the truck) and slapped those puppies on your doors (LOL)! You'd be stylllling!
