So it was pointed out to me that twin sticks are virtually plug and play. Guess what just jumped to the top of the "What's Next?" list? I rarely actually need 4wd with the rear locker, but that 2lo would be damn useful! The main reason I even use 4lo is simply for the lower gearing. Update to come soon.
Trail Gear said:Twin stick shifters will NOT work with the following:
W56 C or D model transmissions with a single transfer case
Stock chain driven V6 transfer case
Rotated dual case adapters
Single transfer case applications with combined tranny and t-case shifter base
Marlin makes one, but says its out of stock.
Twin Stick Kit | Marlin Crawler, Inc.
Something to think about though, If you ever want to add lower tcase gears, or duals, you wont be able to use the chain drive case. So why buy parts for something your not going to keep. Might as well start collecting parts to put a gear drive case with 4.7s in... Thats all.
Well I went to get an alignment today. As soon as we got it up on the rack it was immediately apparent that I need to replace the passenger side idler arm, inner and outer tie rod ends and the adjustment sleeve. YAY!!!!
Not what I planned for today.
