I have a friend who works at Safari. Both the 3rd gen and 4th gen snorkels are on the board. He's not working on the 3rd gen, but he thinks it'll be ready for testing in a few months.
Hello Guys and Gals
snorkles are in production now!!
Eric did go "off the recorded" and state he's very confident the snorkles will be available for order by mid to late November...but no promises!!
It would be sweet if we could get a GB going for these...maybe next month Don't know if anyone has conections with someone who sells ARB gear...that could help put a GB together?
We're getting closer...

The real question is will it clear my CBI ditch light brackets?
I think its great you guys are all excited about this, but for a quarter of the cost of that thing, you can run the Hilux 167 snorkel. It clears the ditch light brackets too with a little trimming.

I ran an ARB taco snorkel on a 96 too, The 167 went on easier. Just my 2cents.
I wish this GIF had the same tear rolling down it's cheek that I do.I'm Not trying to knock anybody's rigs...this is just my retired Veteran's red neck opinion!!
Three things wrong with the HiLux 167 snorkle...first is the fit and finish, which is sub-par to me...just like everything made in China! I don't like the gap it leaves between the tube and fender. Some look better then others.
Second...I hate supporting anything from Frik'n China! Unfortunately, sometimes you don't have a choice. But when I do...I try my best and pick anything except China! I avoid Walmart and Harbor Freight like the plague!! Just me...and yes, I do have issues!!
Third...hate supporting a communist country, which I'm sure some day we'll have to fight!! Just say'n...

Please don't get me wrong...there is no way in our society today to not buy things made in China. I wish that wasn't a true statement...but it is. When China can pay a kid or an adult for that matter...$0.25 an hour, it's almost impossible to compete with that.I agree with you for the most part, trust me, I avoid Chinese stuff like the plague! But when your talking 300 dollar difference, literally a quarter of the price... I personally have to take the "low" road. As far as fit and finish, that's really up to the individual. For what I have in mine, i'm very impressed with it, and if you spend some time during install, you can get the body lines to match up pretty well. But honestly, at the end of the day, to each his own, I'm glad we all don't drive around the same truck with the same parts bolted on!
And if it makes you feel better, I did spend the other 300 dollars on American parts, spidertrax wheel spacers, CBI ditch light brackets, BFG tires, etc etc etc.
My "guess", and I hope I'm wrong for all of you.. Is that the ARB snorkel for a 3rd gen will be a way off if it ever comes around. The 3rd gen is a great platform (my favorite), but its getting old. From a company perspective, you should be creating and developing products for whats new and hot on the market, like the 5th gen Runners. If they really cared about making them for the 3rd gen, they'd done it a long time ago when they could have made the most return out of them. Just my 2cents. Anyway, Here's hoping they do come out with it!
