SantaCruzRunner's Build #2

Have you had any problems with police and the way your front licence plate is mounted? I got pulled over and the cop gave me an earfull about mine and how it wasnt viewable.

You would think the SoCal police would care, but I don't have mud flaps or a front plate and have never had a problem.

Really? I always thought SoCal police were chill. Its the UHP that bug us here in utah! Just ask [MENTION=37079]GottaBeTRD[/MENTION]

You have a front plate? I don't even have a front plate to put on my truck. Woo oklahoma, where nobody cares.

My mom got stopped for no front plate before. She also got stopped for tint on her 08 civic.... You'd think the cops would have something better to do then pull over my mom in her civic with barely any tint.


Thanks, I would have painted them black but 1. I wanted a more factory look. 2. I'd have to get black marker lights to. I was going to use the 00 shell, but I messed up and cut out the mounting hole. So I ended up using the 96 shell from my old runner! I'm glad because I like the smooth look better!

This last weekend [MENTION=34852]crazydubman[/MENTION] and I went wheeling in the lake Tahoe area. In hopes of finding snow, we went up in the mountains off highway 89. Unfortunately there was none. Then on our way back to the hotel Todd suggested we head to the entrance of the rubicon trail. So we did and to our surprise there was a good amount of snow! I had never been in the snow before so I was stoked! Didn't take to many pics but had a blast!

Hey guys, havnt done anything to the runner. Just wanted to share a couple things on my build thread.
1. I have scheduled a tour at the Sacramento UTI. Im looking into taking the TPAT (Toyota Professional Automotive Training) course.
2. Ordered some LED dome lights.
3.I need some help with the dash lights.
just want to make sure I am getting the right stuff:
-3 #194 bulbs for backlighting
-2 #74 bulbs for signal arrows
-1 #74 bulb for heating controls
-1 #74 bulb Trans lever
-1 #74 bulb ignition halo
-1 #74 bulb ECT light
-1 #74 bulb 4WD light
-1 #74 bulb ash tray (white)
-1 #74 bulb glove box (white)
-3 Neo-wedge bulbs A/C, Rear Window, Defrost swithes
 
Good god there are a million different threads about the LED dash lights and they all are so confusing. some say you need one type of bulb, ones says another. Anyone have the straight answer for a 2000 runner?
 
Right? Jeeez. I have subbed 4 threads, all saying different bulbs.... If you get a straight answer, do me a favor and tell me?
 
Seeing your truck and Todd's truck is like seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito in the Movie Twins. Lol. Jk.

Next time I hope to make the snow trip with you guys. That is if my truck is back together.

Build is coming along nice Drew.
 
In the same boat on the led swap. I found this on one of the threads. It's been what I've gotten my info from. Excuse the writing under the pic. It's a screen shot from my phone.
