SantaCruzRunner's Build thread.

I've been waitin for ya to paint your cladding and bumpers SantaCruz! The 3 different colors didn't look right to me. Your runner is gonna look great with the black against red. Looking forward to seeing pics of this bad boy!

Thanks! im super excited to!

On another note i got it aligned today and it rides great!
this was the first somewhat major that i have done "on my own" without parent help. I decided that now that im almost 18, there will be no more parents helping with money. i would be NOWHERE if it wasnt for them even showing me the truck a couple years ago. Ive been very lucky to have them as my parents and can do nothing but thank them for all of there help and support!!
That being said... I need to get a job with more hours haha looking to be a parts runner for a local company or dealership.

Hey dude, the bumper came out great! I have been wanting to do mine for a while so you should definitely do a short writeup on how you did it and the materials and paint that you used

Awesome look man. This is one of the next few things I'll be doing to mine, so you just cleaned, adhesion promoter, primer, then enamel? Any sanding or clear? Did you have any damage on your flares? And any chance you could get a close up photo of where the flares meet the body. Wandering how the runner gasket/seal thing turned out . Thanks and looks awesome.

Thanks man. I'm going to do a write up when I get home. I sanded, cleaned with paint thinner, wiped off, adhesion promoter on plastic/primer on chrome, then the gloss black. The gaskets I can tell already might not hold up. When I took the tape off some sections peeled a little. Not much. I'll do some touch up on it. It's not perfect by any means but it still looks really good!
