My Scangauge came in today. Even though I ordered it from Autoanything, it was directly shipped from Linear Logic in Mesa, AZ. [MENTION=98153]MStudt[/MENTION] how come they wouldn't give you a better price than a retail place for the GB? You would think ordering directly from the company would yield a better price since they don't have to pay a middle man (Autoanything, Autozone, etc).

Retail price is $169.95, and I was getting them for $139.95.

That's all they wanted to do, and I let them know you could get them cheaper other places. Still no dice.
 
I was going to buy the scan gauge II to turn off my check engine light to get an inspection sticker but if I buy the BT adapter and iphone app can I turn my check engine light off

thanks for recommending this set up, I got it and really like it
did a write up on....what did you do to your 3rd gen today

I did however use a different mount
the MPOW windshield mount

and I will just unplug and plug it in when I want it, don't need more cables floating around,

Hey Joshua, you might want to consider buying the cord that allows you to turn it off and on so you can just keep the bluetooth reader attached all the time and not worry about the drain on the battery. I ziptied the extra cable under the dash and used some velcro to attach the bluetooth reader in the bottom tray under the ashtray. I'd take a couple pics right now and post them but I'm stuck at work for the next couple days. The cord stays out of the way and I no longer have to remember to pull the damn thing out every time. And, since the OBDII port faces downward, gravity is working against you to keep that reader in the port. On a very bumpy fire road, it actually dropped out on me. Also, the reader sticks down right where your foot goes when you are using the gas pedal. I've actually bumped the reader a couple times with my foot but not strong enough to do any damage.

So, on a recommendation from [MENTION=115020]ThorInc[/MENTION], I bought the following:

Just set my group buy SGII. Pretty psyched, going to log first fill up today. I don't think the gas mileage is that accurate before you log in fill ups....or I am doing GREAT! :D

Here's how I set mine up. I used a silver sharpee to write on and off on it and I used velcro to keep the reader from flopping around. Seems to work really good and I no longer have to pull it out to disconnect power. Just a flip of the switch.

ScanTool OBDLinkMX not for '98 4Runner

New to the board. Have a low RPM, low load hesitation after veh warmed up. Stomp it and no hesitation..... No codes flashed!!! Ever!! Frustrating... Any ideas...

Bought above @$79.95+ on Amazon... linked via Bluetooth but only displayed Voltage on Torque Lite App. Linked OK to proprietary ScanTool app..... but no data..
Disappointed and returned for credit.

What scanner works??
