scion xb single-disc head unit

well, you guys were right. I had my HU setting on xB and it sounded good to me...but after playing around with both the iPod and a CD as my source, xA does a better job overall. The bass is more thumpy on xB but it is still very good on xA. And my iPod sounds better through this setting as well, as long as turn down the Treble a notch or two.
 
is it true only the 6 disc Scion has the multiple colors? looks like I'll be looking for this HU as well.

it looks like the single units have multiple color displays as well, according to the pics posted on page 3-4 on this thread.

i just received my scion single hu today from ebay, and hopefully will be installing it this weekend :dancin:

unless the 2005 single discs have multiple color displays, it only applies to six disc. the pics on page three are from a six disc..
 
oh, sorry about that. i guess the two units look really similar, huh? oh well, i bought the single, and all i really care about is getting better sound, for cheap not to mention playing my mp3s!
 
Yes, externally they look almost identical. The sound is terrific especially with a speaker upgrade. Put in some 2 or 3 way speakers and you'll be blown away. I run Polk Audio DB series and couldn't be happier.
