SCS F5 Wheels?

So I'm looking to buy some SCS F5 Wheels for my 2002 4Runner.
I've done some research, but still not %100 percent sure what BS to get to avoid any trimming or modification.

I do have a 3" toytech lift with a 1" BL
My tire size is 285/75r16

I'm not sure if i should go with the 3.5 or 4.5 BS

Any help is appreciated, TIA!

4.5. The less backspacing you have the less clearance you will have at the firewall. 3.5 will cause more clearance issues

Depends on what offset got put in with the SCS 3.5" BS. FN 5 Star uses -25mm with 3.5" BS which from what I hear is near equal to 0 & 4.5". Don't quote me on that.
I run 285/75-16 with 0 & 4.5" BS on my Ltd you will like the look 1"+ sticking past flare. Stock UCA has finger clearence, no BL don't hit pinch weld except in the extreme.

Same as the FN
SCS are 3.5 -25mm and 4.5 0mm

I got a bit loose with my tongue on how far 4.5" BS stick out more like 3/4"-1".

I have 3.5" BS and 285/75/16 KO2's. I have SPC Light racing UCA's set to G with no rubbing and no BL. YMMV. I have no fender flares. With a little work, they fit fine and are one of the few offsets that are desired to clear larger 315/75/16.

You’d want the 3.5 if you have the fat flares on your 02. The 4.5s don’t look as cool.

With the 0, 4.5" 285's 2.5" lift no BL stock UCA I had to remove bumper flair and trim a bit off valance.

Thank you. Hard to say about the stock front bumper, as I already had the AOR bumper before the F5's. You might need to trim the lower plastic valance, but I am not sure. You gave yourself a little more clearance with the BL.

I had my wheels pulled pretty far forward with my alignment and my front bumper has a lot of clearance.

Start to Google SCS F5 in 3.5 BS on 3rd gens. You can pretty much tell from the pictures what ones are 3.5. Then see if there are some pics with stock bumpers. When you click, it seems most if the referenced pics come back to here. Not all, but many. Hahaha... So good T4R research is sort of like reconstructing a crime or something.

I already had my SPC UCA's when I got my F5's installed. But I would think that you'd be fine, given that you are moving the wheels out, towards the edge of the vehicle, and away from the UCA's. The SPC's might not be needed, but they are nice for fitment. I have really only folded over my pinchwelds and did the rest with setting the the UCA's to reposition the wheels in the wheel well.

But I will let someone else with first hand knowledge chime in.

Thats what I was thinking on the 3.5", I didn't put SPC's on till I bumped up a notch on 5100's to 3" lift to get alignment right. All the adjustment is nice to have.
6 months later 96redrunner got rolled totaled, got 01 ltd, let the mods begin.

Oh man, that sucks! Glad you're okay though. We're you able to salvage anything? That is something that I worry about after investing so much time and money into mods. It can all go away at anytime. I hope it never comes to that. Depending upon the circumstances, it would probably be transplant city for a while. I would find a good 01-02 specimen and just start swapping things over if I could.

I am doing gears and a locker on Tuesday, so that will probably be my single biggest mod to date. Lol.

I'm glad I wasn't in it, son was, 1" cut on top of head, he fared well for severety of accident. Wasn't his fault, so he got a real good payout from other insurance company.
Nothing was salvageable, got a acceptable payout because of all the receipts I had proving it was well taken care of plus mods. After hardball negotiations.

To give yourself ammo for hardball negotiations with Ins company's always keep your receipts for everything you do. I'm talking for even the 10 pack of machine screws you needed two of to mount flashlight to seat base.
