SCS F5 Wheels?

Thank you. Hard to say about the stock front bumper, as I already had the AOR bumper before the F5's. You might need to trim the lower plastic valance, but I am not sure. You gave yourself a little more clearance with the BL.

I had my wheels pulled pretty far forward with my alignment and my front bumper has a lot of clearance.

Start to Google SCS F5 in 3.5 BS on 3rd gens. You can pretty much tell from the pictures what ones are 3.5. Then see if there are some pics with stock bumpers. When you click, it seems most if the referenced pics come back to here. Not all, but many. Hahaha... So good T4R research is sort of like reconstructing a crime or something.

I did more research, but the ones I found with stock bumper, don't have enough info haha. I'm leaning more towards the 3.5 BS. I sorta want the aggressive look. I don't rub on anything at all right now with my pro comps and 33.4"

I would say if you want 3. 5 go ahead and get them. A lot of people would 4. 5 end up putting spacers on to have a wider stance. I didn't want to spacers, and I kno knew where I wanted to end up. Even if you have to modify the front bumper I do not think it would be that difficult, especially with your body lift.

6 months after I gave it to my son, wasn't his fault though.
Someone cut into RF wheel, 75 mph head on into concrete divider then onto roof
Slid for ways. Seatbelt airbag both worked, six stitches for inch long cut top of head. I was thoroughly impressed with how runner passenger area kept it's shape. VC's were touching firewall.

Currently, my vehicle is in the shop getting some gears and locker. I should have it back by the end of the week. I'd be happy to do it when I get it back in my hot little hands. lol. But just eyeballing it, I would say that it is probably just beyond your flares. But not too much.

Man... now I remember reading about your son's accident when I saw the pic. I remember being relieved that he was okay and surprised considering the amount of damage the 4Runner took. These things continue to impress me. I just got back from a short vacation up to Vancouver Island in Canada. There was a particularly strong presence of 3rd gens up there. They way outnumbered any 4th or 5th gens seen. I am glad that you are putting together another 3rd gen man. Keep us updated!:snacker:

Interesting. I wonder if they are getting our 3rd gens mixed up with 4th gens concerning the Body Mount Chop. I have not heard of anyone having to do this for 3rd gens. The 16x8" 3.5" BS will rub more than 4.5" BS for sure, but it just means that you will need to address the rub a bit more aggressively. I am sure that SCS suggests rather conservative specs, the 265/75/16's and the 4" BS to avoid a lot of angry phone calls and emails saying that their new set up rubs.

The fact of the matter is, when you make changes, especially bigger changes to the geometry and size of the objects that roll under our vehicles, you will have to accommodate those changes one way or another. Some people run body lifts, some add aftermarket UCA's, and others just grab a hammer and start pounding the be·je·sus out of whatever's in the way. If you know that going into your decision, you will be going forward with eyes wide open. Mine rubbed like crazy till I adjusted the SPC UCA's all the way forward. Since then, no rubbing. Also, BFG's run a bit small, but I figure most 285's would clear just fine.

Exactly what I was thinking because I actually googled it and tried to research what he said and nothing came up with the 3rd gen. I'm willing to do a bit of trimming if I have to. I did it with my stock bumper lol. Plus having the body lift and camburg UCA, I'm sure that will help.

6 stitches, sore knees for couple days. He was happy and $18k richer for pain n suffering. I got $6800 for truck.
He got a free 12 Camry from mom, As we all know he'd rather have redrunner, Lol.

Yeah my pinch welds are just folder over flat and a little section of plastic from the wheel liner was cut, but nothing major for sure. And I did that before I got the wheels and adjusted the SPC's to the "G" setting.
