Seafoam no smoke

1990 4runner 3.0
With the truck running...I ran about 1/2 -3/4 can of Seafoam through my vaccum line off the brake booster and the put the remaining amt in my gas tank..none in the crank case. Kept truck running at abt 2k rpms for a min or two and shut off. Let it sit for 10mins or so and fired back up...no smoke! I kept truck running for a few mins and never got to see "extreme exhaust". I let it sit again for 20mins or so...started up and no smoke? Should I run another can through and include the crank case? Suggestions.....

I think what you put in is fine. I don't think you necessarily have to see loads of smoke for it to be effective. When I did mine a while back, I didn't have smoke like you see on the youtube videos. Just a little bit at first, then nothing.
 
When I Sea Foamed three months ago, it only blew smoke while I was dropping it down the main vacuum line, but it didn't smoke at all after the "hot soak" time.

i always turn the truck off right after it finish sucking in the rest of the fluids
since you ran it at 2k for a min or two. most the fluids just got sucked out and didnt really get to sit on anything to work. maybe try lowering it to like 1500 rpms and try again.
 
Same here. as soon as the vaccum sucked up half the can i shut it off immediately and let it sit for 20 or 30 minutes. I had already put the other half in my tank. When i fired it up there was a ton of smoke.

Will do buddy..I 'll try another can and see if that works. Blowin smoke makes feel like the product is workin...thanks

Yea it blew a little white smoke when I first ran it through, but I may try another can....thanks
 
i did two 1/3 on mine just cuz it has so many miles. even after the seafoam. i pulled the intake tube and looked inside. i can see the intake manifold needs to be removed and soaked lol
 
I've only ever had smoke after adding seafoam to the crankcase aswell as brake booster back and gas tank. Smoked a lil bit, not like the you tube videos. Must be pretty clean in there :-)
 
Instead of the "main" vacuum line to the booster, I ran the fluid through the line just before the throttle body...it cleaned the butterfly, and I assume the inside of the manifold (no visible sludge when I looked inside the TB), all the way to the valves. 1/2 can there, and the other half in the tank. Ran the truck at an RPM just high enough to keep it from stalling, had a cup of coffee while letting it sit, fired it up and let the smoke pour. I'm planning on another can through the motor in a few thousand...seems to work well.

Putting it down the main line (the hose connected to the brake booster) feeds all six cylinders.. but putting it down that hole in the air intake boot next to the TB is better?
 
When I put about half a can through the brake booster, it smoked while it was sucking up the foam. It came from all the cracks and orifices. I shut it off for 10 minutes or more as soon as it had sucked up as much as I wanted. Then I fired it up and filled my neighborhood with a ton of black smoke. There was so much smoke, I was wondering when the EPA would show up. I'm going to do another half can and see if it cleans out more.
 
EPA cant do anything. its EPA approved and it should be big WHITE smoke. with all the seafoams i have done to all types of cars. it has always been white
 
Hmmm. Either my memory has failed me or I have a unique vehicle, ehhh? Whatever, I'm going to seafoam it again this week.
 
oops ... good eye.

He meant pour it.

Pouring it down the hole in the air intake boot which is connected directly to the throttle body .. I think is what csrobb meant..
