So what seat covers are people running and how do you like them?
I really want to put a decent set of aftermarket seat covers on my 4runner. Not only do I find the factory corduroy fabric uncomfortable, but I don't want a spill permanently staining/damaging the seat material.
I've been running some cheap one-size-fits-all covers for almost 3 years now but I'm getting tired of the crap-tastic look of them. Want something a little nicer.
Would prefer a military camo pattern.
So here's what I've found:
Wet Okole: Multiple colors, runs $239/up for both front seats.
GT Covers: Multiple colors, runs $180/up for both fronts
Marathon Seat Covers: Multiple Colors, runs $175 for both fronts (but headrests are an $18/seat option.)
Anything else? Seems odd I can't find much between the $20 wal-mart cheapies and the $200 custom fitted covers.
GT is a good value and they are local to me (they have a factory in Denver) which means I could pick them up vs. having to have them shipped.
Marathon Covers seems to offer the best range of military camo patterns (they're the only ones who offer a 3-color DCU pattern.) My gripe with Marathon is that they start off inexpensive but the things that other companies include (likes seat back pockets and headrest covers) you have to pay extra $$ for with marathon.
Right now I'm leaning towards either a marathon cover in the DCU pattern (the 3-color desert camo we wore in the military from 1991 - 2004) or the GT covers in Woodland Camo (the green BDU camo pattern.) The GT covers would be about $50 cheaper but I'd prefer the DCU pattern to the Woodland Camo.
Anyone have any experience with these or any other companies? I know there are several Wet Okole users here but what about the others? And what other companies should I be looking at?
