No Sponge Filter

I know this is an older thread but Im hoping someone will have an answer. One member mentioned they had no foam filter in their air pump. I have a 2013 since new and my air pump has no foam filter inside either. Weird Right? Has anyone else experienced this while doing the mod? A doubt the entire foam filter was slowly consumed by the pump without throwing major codes. Did Toyota forget to install one or did they just stopped putting them in to avoid warranty work by using a crappy filter that disintegrate over time?

I've only heard of this when the foam gets chewed up and destroyed, not being absent

I hear you but its hard to imagine that the whole filter got chewed up with no trace or problems. davem mentioned on page 3 of this post that he had no filter. Maybe I misunderstood.

It came off easily. It wasn't brittle that I've noticed. I think it could've lasted longer but thought it was a good idea to replace.

Part number for Secondary Air Pump Housing

Hi Guys did this mod today with the UNI filter and part of the filter housing that the UNI Filter clamps to, and the T25 Torx bolt goes through cracked. Does anyone have a part number for the filter housing?

I'm seeing one for a Lexus that shows 04008-3520C
Does anyone know if this will fit a 2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro?
