Secrets, tips and tricks?

Tomorrow I'm headed to the dealer to trade in my '07 Sport for a 2012 Limited

Anyyyyyway....in the 4th gen forum there was a thread about little secrets and tips. Like the secret glove box compartment, , the center console tissue holder, turning the key in the back to roll up the window, etc. I searched but couldn't find one for the 5th Gens.

Of course I'll read my new manual when I get it, but does anybody have any little secrets for the 5th Gen?

What?!?! No backdoor in the 5th Gen? How do you get stuff in and out of the back area? I better stick with my '07...

no extra lifes.
Arrggghhh! You did that on purpose to torment me, didn't you? Just like the title of this thread not using the Oxford comma.

Anyhow, the 5th gen still has the centre console tissue holder and the Limited actually has buttons for the rear window on the lift gate. Other than that....um...can't really think of anything. If you push the gas pedal all the way down with authority it goes pretty fast...

Be quiet or I will brake you in halve.

Aye, I always forget if that second comma is needed or not. Oh well...:keyboard:

The 4th Gen "secret" thread has over 25 pages, I guess the 5th Gen just isn't as cool.

one thing I can think of is to have them program the options with the techstream for the way you want the vehicle to operate in regards to door locking etc.

Most of the 5th gen crowd is smart enough to figure stuff out, hence no "secret" thread.

Well here is one hidden feature it took me 9 months to figure out (And yes I did read the manual, but it's a lot to remember on first read).

If you rotate the dash dimmer knob all the way up, then push it some more, it will click and turn your dash lights on full even when the headlights are turned on. For when it's required during the day by local laws sometimes.

I. Will. End. You. Don't make me drive all the way out west where you are from all the way out east where I am. Cue the duelling banjos...

Definitely not. There is a little secret compartment directly behind the back seats. Not very big, but you can store some secret stuff in there. There's also something ridiculous like 12 cup holders.

A programmer's wife tells him: "Run to the store and pick up a loaf of bread. If they have eggs, get a dozen." The programmer comes home with 12 loaves of bread.
BOO-LEAN y'all.

I understood that joke and I've actually heard it before. Sad, I know.
