Secure light mounting hardware?

My search skills are failing me. There was a thread with info. on after-market high security mounting hardware for light bars, etc. Can someone post a link to it and/or a URL to a web site that sells high security mounting hardware?

With the cost of a light bar hitting $1K or more and the bumper mount lights I'm looking at going for $700/pr I would like to make sure they don't sprout legs and wander off.

Those look nice for Rigid Ind. lights, but won't work with the Baja Designs lights I've already ordered. For anyone with Rigid lights, you've spent a fair amount on the lights, you should definitely get their upgraded nuts to make sure they don't take a walk.

What I envision for my setup is a stainless bolt with a rounded over head (like a carriage bolt) that takes a Security Torx wrench.

They work great, bought em as soon as I threw the lights on my roof, haven't gotten around to installing them on the front lights yet though.

For my BajaDesign LED bar ,it came with M6(6mm) allen bolts in the ends. I swapped them out for M6 stainless security bolts that I bought them off feebay from a bikeshop but I don't see them up for sale any more on there. Just google security fasteners and a bunch sell them. Size I used is a M6 X 1.0 X 20 but I have custom brackets and washers on mine.

BTW - Did you know that Security Torx aren't as secure as once thought. The criminal mind has found that the pin that stops you from using a regular Torx bit will also hold a regular standard screw driver in place nicely. I think the current state of the art for security bolts are TP3 head. They use a triangular bit with outward rounded sides so that anything but a TP3 bit spins inside it. Trouble is I haven't been able to find them in end-user quantities.

Well ,they are a theft deterrent for a old school thief who has allen wrenches or vise grips looking for an easy score!lol

My x-GF had her catalytic converter cut off her 97 4Runner in a doctors office parking lot in broad daylight. Do you think any type of security bolts would have stopped them?
