Selling my 98 Runner, Priced OK?

I am curious if you all think $6000 is a fair price for my Runner. 1998, 5 speed, 116,3xx miles, has e-locker, I have NOT done timing belt/water pump. Back bumper is dented, see pic. Interior is in good shape.

I know someone will ask why...we have 3 vehicles and she doesn't get driven. My hubby has a Tundra so we are not abandoning Toyota

The dealership in town can't seem to keep older Runners in stock, so I think if I price it right I should be able to sell it quickly.

Yes, it a great price, but also have to take into account your city/state as prices are not the same across the board. That being said, that's an AWESOME price from my city's perspective. Good Luck with the sale...


PS: She will definitely sell in no time because she is a "hard to find" M/T w/ E-locker and low mileage!!!

Start at $6800! The miles are low, and it's 5-speed with locker. If it's been maintained, it should sell for more than $6k.

Yeah I would start at $7500 and let them low ball you. I would have bought yours when I was looking for $6k. GLWS.

how soon do you need to sell it? its always easier to come down in price than go up, that being said ask $8000 obo and see what response you get. if no bite then start slowly lowering your price say $500 at a time, i bet you could get $7000 for that easy. if you where closer id buy it even though i dont like the white color.

I am not in a hurry to sell it, we just don't drive it and it seems like a waste to have it sit in the driveway. I think starting at $6k is too low after the replies!

I think you will get more than a nibble with that price. Here in the Bay Area that will be gone pretty quick. Keep us updated!

Sounds pretty fair for sure.

In Canada we're always higher in price and that's still a good deal here. That should be $7-8000 in these parts.

An example of fast, last week we had one identical to yours, but only had 140K kms (87,500K miles) and the lady was asking $4000!! Needless to say the add was only up a few hours. I wished I had a few bucks laying around as I would've scooped it up in a heartbeat.

I bought one identical to the one your selling a couple months ago for $5200. It's even white like yours. Mine had 168,000 miles though and had Belt and water pump done 40,000 miles ago. Paint was a bit faded and can tell something minor happened on driver side fender but still felt like I got a good deal. No rust and everything else look clean. So far 1600 miles on her w/ one camping excursion and all good.
