Shocks for emu 906

I have a 99 limited 4x4 with tall factory springs. Looking for Small upgrade and I Just acquired a set of emu 906. I don't do any off-road. My commute is 90% city 10% highway. Which shock would you recommend. Also looking to upgrade front suspension too. Trying to do this on a budget so of anyone has a good used setup let me know

I'm running 906's in the rear for now. I have a 4th Gen OE shock and no sway bar. Plenty of flex and it hold weight well. The ride is pretty good also. Give you about 2in of lift in the back. I have the 99 limited.

Bilstein 5125

I'm running 906s with Bilstein 5125s. Ride is great!

When I had the 906s I ran the OME nitrocharger shocks, I actually still run them with the 891s

Tundra Bilsteins (5100), in my opinion create a perfect ride with the 906. I'm completely happy with mine:thumb3:

Are the 5100/5125 direct fit. I was reading that they don't come with bushings and I would need an adapter?

I have ran Tokico Trekmasters and Bilstien HD shocks with them. They both provided a nice ride.

Just a word of warning: I have OME 880/906 with OME comfort shocks all around. For me personally, this setup is awesome off road but on the street, it is harsh. For street application, I would with stick with tall 99 and go with Trekmasters. I can understand if you want the looks, but just be ready for the rougher ride.

Thanks for the heads up. I know the talls eventually sag. Mine aren't right now. I purchased some 906 to avoid premature sag on talls. At about what mileage does the sag start on talls. Also I have no luck finding trek masters

The 5100 come with a 1/2 lower bushing. Those need to be replaced with a 3/4 bushing. Very cheap and easy to do.

Someone with the 5125's can probably give you better advise on those....

I got my 5125s with the Toytec Ultimate kit and they had the correct bushings already installed.

Don't know when they will sag. If they do, you might just put on some spacers to compensate. You're right about the scarcity of Trekmasters but I did find some here.
