Yes. I am sure you can, but before you consider it; does that model have a controlled center diff? If not, don't.... a fully locked center diff in full time 4x4 will destroy your transfer case quickly.

Anything can be done with money. Somebody put a LC Torsen Center Diff in a 5.7l Tundra for full time 4x4.

well if thats the case is it possible to put landcruisers 6 speed automatic transmition and differentiall in the tacoma with a 4runners 4.7 V8 engine in a double cab 05' tacoma??

Before this thread loses its purpose, is the OP going to reveal the conclusion based on the posts? I'd be happy to know what sold you. Most of the posts were pretty supportive, except for the ones from Streetfighter. Really bro?

very good point, well i have decided to trade him, and all the legal papers will be done by the end of the week, hopefully. as for my reasons why,besides power gain, and the fact that its full time 4wd. I like that i dont need to worry about being stuck half way up a cliff face, or being stuck in something. the whole ease of mind thing is great, and if i do ever need extra towing i have it, and wont have to hassle with that either. other then that, its fun to now just stand upon those with their v6, stair down at them and say," I've got a bigger package then you," overall they are both very exceptional vechials, and can handle most terrain, and get you out of the jam your in. but i dont like things being prone to waring down or braking on me when im in the middle of having my fun. thats why i go V8. and spending $20 more on gas a month is something i can live with just fine. well thanks again for all your efforts. and keep having fun doing what we all love to do. now lets all go out there and get some!!!
