I like the black caps , gives me an idea if I get my FJ rims to paint the caps GG to match the truck.

Update... I did it. Pics will follow soon, I ended up doing a shadow mica-ish color. Pics will follow. I painted the caps last sunday, so I was giving them a couple days to cure.

So I just started painting my wheels black. I'm using duplicolor sandable primer, and duplicolor wheel coating flat black, and clearcoat. Problem is...is the black is still a bit too glossy for me. The primer was the exact color I wanted. Can I just paint is with primer and then clear coat?

I just turned the only mod I regret (getting FJ wheels), into one of my favorites. The black wheels look SWEET. I was 10 seconds from shelling out 300 for tundra rims...glad I went the paint route.

That looks awesome! :bigok: Black rims are tricky, certain vehicle colors it looks awesome on others not so much. On white :bigok: :bigok: :biggrin2:
