Should I seafoam my V8 with 80k?

Hi!

I need to replace my oil and PCV valve soon so I went to autozone and got a jug of oil. The seafoam was on sale so I've got 2 cans. I have used one can for a gas tank. I'm thinking to put half another can to the crank case thru PCV valve and half to intake. Does anyone could advise me how to proper use this product.

What results i can expect? is it worth it ?

I've heard of people getting good results from seafoam; i.e. smoother idling and increase in mpg. But I've also heard reports that it doesn't change much. I've personally never used the stuff so I can't give you first hand experience. My mechanic, who I trust, advises against it. He claims he's seen O2 sensors and cats get gummed up by it. Not sure how much water that holds, but oh well. He knows more than me and has been a mechanic a long time. So I'll take his word it. I did some searches a while back, there's a decent amount of info about seafoam on here. Best of luck to you.

I think I'll use half can thru PCV valve hose going to the TB. I'm not going to put that stuff to my oil and crank case. Since I cleaned up my TB and MAF I'm getting high idle at the morning. Before I did this service my idle was 1500 rpms than after 30 sec goes to 1200 and than after 1 minute goes below 1000. Right now I need to wait about 4 minutes to safely put my car in D. Shifting in D while engine has 1300 rpms is not really God for a transmission I guess.. hopefully seafoam would help with my idle. Also I'm going to replace small vacum hoses as I've noticed little cracks on some of them
