Just wanted to bump this and see if anyone else has any pictures of lights mounted on a stock bumper or anywhere really. I like seeing this stuff, and am always looking for ideas on where to mount lights on the 4Runner when the time comes.

Found some cheap 6 LED rock spotters on Amazon for 20 bucks. On my 97 there are two unoccupied holes in the grill on the lowest bit of chrome.

Mounted right to the plastic, it also rests back on the metal behind it.

I'm wanting to do this to my limited and replace the factory fog lights. How are you liking them?

The six LEDs are not amazing but put out a fair amount of light. They will fill a dark garage and they bare great for filling in any dark spots on the side of the vehicle. I would probably not recommend them as replacements for the stock fogs though I just don't think they have the penetration for that. They flood great close to the vehicle but probably wouldn't have the distance.

Anyone have any issue with overheating when you mount your light bars behind the grill? Seems like it's blocking a big chunk of the radiator, just a thought. I want to do a 20" light bar either behind the grill or mounted down low (I have stock front end), but don't want to compromise the cooling system. Thanks.

IMO, hardly.
Have you seen some of these aftermarket bumpers that almost completely cover the area where the condenser and radiator are? Plus, the air hitting the light bar doesn't just disapear. It goes around it and hits the radiator anyway.

Yeah you dont have to worry too much about lack of air flow over the rad. Thats what the fan is for.

Seems like everyone is running LED light bars (for the most part). Do they project out as far as a typical "round" off road light?

2002 Sports Edition 21"led bar with Piaa fog lights and some Led fog lights.

How well do those LED fog lights work? Are they actual fog lights or reverse lights? Where did you get them? I was thinking of doing something similar.

I'll be posting a pic soon. Just got my slag factory led bat mount. And just ordered a 41.5" led bar from Miami off-road 4wd for amazing price.

How about some pictures of lights mounting on the rear for rear lights. Like on roof rack or however you mounted it. And how you ran the wires. I'm interested in this. I have WM roof rack and considering few led lights facing the rear.

I keep the rear bar off for daily driving. It would be too tempting to turn it on and blind tailgaters. Plus, thieves.

20" lightbar from OKLED. Mounted super easy to cross member in front of radiator. Also have LED light bulbs in headlights from him as well. Highly recommended.
