Showoff Your Rock Sliders

I didn't think he was offering them for the 3rd gens yet.. What length are they overall and how much did you end up paying?

He hasn't officially released them because I'm the official test fit. Once I get mine welded on they should be added to his website. That will be by the end of May, hopefully sooner.

The sliders are 68" sliders available with and without a kickout.

No kick out $290.00

With Kick out $325.00

Powder coating is an extra $100 and filler plates are ~$125 more.

The turn around time is 8-12 weeks right now because of a group buy that I took part of. He is also working on some local contract projects, but should be closer to the 8 weeks side. They are definitely worth it though.

I got on a group buy so I was able to get %20 off. He will often do group buys when his current cue of sliders get low. I will make a post in the 3rd gen section if I see one going on.

Could be wrong, but I believe the adapter is used with a hi-lift. The adapter makes it so the round part of the slider sits in the hi-lift when jacking the vehicle using sliders.
 
Yeah, the "slider adapter" allows the hi lift to get a better hold on the slider tube to keep it from slipping off. I'm making one now as I have tubes all the way around the truck.
This way I'll always have a place to jack off.:biggrin2:

Most companies use chinese steel, even their DOM is chinese. all of BAMF's steel are 100% USA steel, thats why it cost more. BAMF hot roll steel sliders are stronger than any chinese dom sliders on the market.

i think most people know what company uses chinese steel so im not gonna name names.

The only concern might be the amount of actual plate welded onto the frame as I have a 1" body lift, so approximately 3/4" of the frame plates were not able to be welded to the frame and protrude vertically. The sliders were purchased and installed in preparation for a wheeling trip this upcoming weekend 04/06 - 04/08, so I can follow-up with any worthwhile feedback/updates.

My overall experience with CBI Offroad Fab was awesome!!! Eleven out of ten. 6 out of 5 stars. Nathan Wright was a pleasure to work with and was very communicative and quick to respond to many (!) emails, inquiries, and telephone calls. Thanks goes out to the guy(s) that fabbed the sliders as well. I would not hesitate to purchase anything from CBI Offroad Fab in the future, and in fact, the only holding me back is money!!!

My version of weld-penetration testing! We used a Lotus Development Hi-Lift Rock Slider Adapter that I got from ToyTec along with the R-CAMS (which you can see in the closeup shot).

Finished product! I had to tape it down along the length because it was getting cool as I was applying the antislip tape. And, 3M rolls the rough side "in" on the roll, so it kinda works against you during application. I even radiused the corners of the tape to an ~8mm curve. Not shown in these pics is the tape applied to the kickouts. I had to figure out how to lay it out to fit the curves of the kickout and it had been a long day by this point.

Trust me it's worth it. With the 20% off going on now it will cost just about the same as 4xinnovations (shipping included) and is a lot cheaper that the other options. I will be getting mine welded on the first week of June and will have pictures up then.

I know it would be easy to cut off the lower tabs, but that seems like a limitation for those with a body lift? Do they make longer plates then if you do have a body lift??
