Jerry can make custom mounting plates, but most people order from BAMF don't have body lifts so we didn't really think about it back then.

CBI Offroad Fab - 3rd Gen 4Runner Weld-On Rock Sliders with the following upgrades: DOM Tubing, Dimple-Die Plating, Kickouts, and Black Powdercoat.
Below is my email response to CBI's customer-service follow-up questions:
My version of weld-penetration testing! We used a Lotus Development Hi-Lift Rock Slider Adapter that I got from ToyTec along with the R-CAMS (which you can see in the closeup shot).
Finished product! I had to tape it down along the length because it was getting cool as I was applying the antislip tape. And, 3M rolls the rough side "in" on the roll, so it kinda works against you during application. I even radiused the corners of the tape to an ~8mm curve. Not shown in these pics is the tape applied to the kickouts. I had to figure out how to lay it out to fit the curves of the kickout and it had been a long dathy by this point.
I really like how high the sliders sit due to the angle their mounted at. They look like they are angled a bit more than the average slider I've seen. Do you happen to know how many degrees they are or if possible get a measurement? I believe ive read that most are about 20* and some around 30* but yours look to be a bit more than 30*

BAMF all the way!strongest non DOM slider you can buy
we use way better mount hardware than all of our competitors
our mounting plates wrap around the bottom of the frame and fully mount to the frame instead of just the side
you can order with or with out kicks outs
we don't mess around lol

deff after the body lift, but i would go with 1 inch instead of 2, that much body lift sliders and bumpers will look like crap.definitely want a pair of these and I'm in the bay area too...

it's not such a big deal bumpers since most company make brackets for BL, but for sliders your frame has only so much room to play with, and with 2 inches of body lift there is still gonna be a pretty big gap, this is just my opinion, sorry if i offended anyone.

now i see where your coming from.... no matter what, there is still only so much frame that you will be able to mount the rails too.
I'm just worried about big huge gaps and a weird "Look"...
def want those BAMF. anyone have a hookup on the item itself or a MIG welder or deal on the labor involved on welding them??

How are most of you securing your sliders to your framerail? I've heard welding could possibly make the steel of the frame brittle but on the flip side I'm pretty apprehensive of drilling thru for bolts. I would definently lean towards welding before drilling. Or is there another option?

almost all of us just weld it on, the only type of people who buy bolt on are ones who are planning on reselling their truck, in that case they are not wheeling hard enough to need sliders anyways.

not really, unless you are taking a IED to your slider i wouldn't worry about it. we got box frames much stronger than the newer C chanel style frames

That's a little black and white...
Mine are bolt on, work perfectly and use them virtually every time I'm out
I just didn't feel like taking a secondary step on finding someone to weld them on, and if I decide to change them up I can easily replace them myself. My bumpers are also bolted on!

Bumping this thread - what can I get thats not as expensive as the shrockworks? I love the look of the 3 tube supports with no plates but not really wanting to pay $750 for it .......
