After a few weeks of designing, tweaking and a little bit of wheeling we are ready to release another great product for you guys. We now offer a complete under-body skid package to protect the major components of your rig.
These skids mount using all factory holes and are constructed of 7 gauge mild steel. The entire set weighs in at ~160 lbs. One hole in the entire set requires drilling, and it is optional. Most all of the fasteners along the bottom of the skids are carriage bolts, so you don't have to worry about ripping off bolt heads dragging them over rocks.
The front most skid mounts using the tow hook locations in each of the frame rails instead of the flimsy factory radiator skid mount. If there is one skid that takes a serious beating, this is the one, so we wanted to make sure it had a solid mounting system.
These skids are modular, and can be purchased and mounted independently of each other (with the exception of the oil pan skid, which requires the radiator skid), or can be purchased as a full set covering the Radiator, Engine, Transmission, Transfer-case, and Gas tank. When run as a full set, all skids make a smooth transition into the next leaving less opportunity for hang ups on trail obstacles.
Most of these skids are also compatible with the 96-04 Tacomas, minus the T-case and Gas skids. But, we have designed a Tacoma specific T-case skid as well.
As for pricing, we will be selling these for $879 for a complete set bare steel, shipping is will be included in the product price. Powder coated black will be an additional $149. We will be running an introductory special on the first 10 sets bare steel for $698 with FREE shipping, and they will be ready to ship by the end of this week! We have yet to work out pricing for the skids individually.
