Hit a deer with my old truck with an ARB winch bar on the front of it. 75mph+. Up on the 395 in the Sierras at 3 in the morning. Just came over a rise and there it was. Broke its back. Highway Patrol had to come out and put it down.

Not a scratch on the car. Cops thought I should have been dead. Most of the time they come up over the hood and through the windshield at that speed. Retouched the bumper with a little mat black spray paint.

I will buy the ARB bar within 45 seconds of it being released.

I have busted up so many ARB's so many times and they are bulletproof!!! That is not to say the SW is not as well I just like sticking with a good thing. They are time tested, and have countless hours and a lot of $$$$$$ on R & D.

Once that is on, I can follow the lines to the rear and get rid of that ugly piece of plastic on the rear Toyota calls a bumper

Glad you were ok, so at 75+ did they deploy???

Just another reason to carry a gun...

1994 LWB Range Rover. Pulled the suspension, changed to shocks. Lifted and leveled. Pre air bags.

I miss that car, but after a decade and a half it wasn't really reliable for long road trips. I got faster putting on a flatbed then the AAA drivers.

I am digging my TE. They wouldn't sell it in Southern Cal and a week after getting it shipped in I had it in snow up the to the hubs. 75 miles from my house. Crazy.

I don't carry a gun cause I would have used it by now. LA traffic -- I've had Bozos cut me off then pull up beside me, and reach into the glove box like they were going for a weapon. Maybe they were, maybe they weren't. Without a gun I have to step on the brakes. With one.... I've taken combat handgun classes. You get enough muscle memory in, it goes automatic -- as it should.

I'm tempted, but I'll pass for now. But with my new ARB bar, I'll just crush them. :lookout:
