shrockworks slider install on '15 TEP w/KDSS

Installed my sliders over the weekend but was not able to get the KDSS factory bolts reinstalled to the frame. Is this going to be a problem? It's the two bolts, one on either side on the gusset plate on the drivers side. Did anyone else run into the same issue, or should I try to get them back in?

I had no problem re-attaching the KDSS line to the frame - what in particular was making it difficult on your truck? Picture perhaps?

I'll try to get a picture. However, the bracket that holds the line shifted, and it's feeling pretty tough to get it to realign with the existing hole.

Ask and you shall receive! The red circle is where the existing bolt originally attaches.

As you can see, it's about 75% covered by the bracket. I was able to reattach the front one, but am hesitant to do so as I'm afraid of putting it into too much tension. Any thoughts?

That hangs free on my ride now. It's not going anywhere. You can zip-tie it if you are concerned.

Thanks for the reply. Just glad I'm not the only one! I don't figure it's going anywhere, since I got the front one reinstalled, and the gusset goes over the KDSS lines anyway. Thanks!

Thanks for this thread. My sliders are still on order and I'll be installing them on a 2016 TEP w/KDSS when they arrive. I'll post photos and info if I see anything different.

It really wasn't that bad. If yours is anything like mine, you'll notice that the angled parts of the front on each side don't seem like they're bent properly. Just go for it anyway, they'll connect.

On the passenger side, we had to use the jack to lift the edge of the angle up, and compress it with the weight of the car, but it's on there good! I'd also recommend putting the jack under the gas tank before undoing that bolt!

I have BudBuilt sliders and I had the same issue. I remember it took a while from me to reattach that bracket. I'll look into mine today to see if I can remember how I attached it!
