man incan ditto all this. wish i would have thought to paint those nuts first. rusty as hell after 12 months in the south. tough to get them in there and they are not comingnout until they rust off.

That would take quite a small camera to get inside the frame??? :lol:

It's not bad at all, passenger was harder than driver for me, but I have the RCI gas skid which sounds better than a factory. You may want to pick up a couple longer bolts, just makes a couple much easier with the stick nuts, got mine at Lowes.

I did grind one stick nut edge to go through a smaller hole as that was easier than fiddling with the stick from further away. There are several threads with great pics on here, but you'll be able to understand once you are under there.

A second set of hands would be nice but I did it all myself with a six pack and two jack stands.

I suppose what I meant is how do the stick nuts look from the other side of the frame...

I did see a few threads with pics, including harper's, and think there is enough to go on.
The stick nuts just look kind of puzzling and I'll think just use some longer bolts instead.
I'm not too concerned- have two jack stands, a bottle jack, and six pack of Shiner ready to go for tomorrow.

Just to be clear, you'll need the stick nuts either way, longer bolts just make it easier for them to "catch" as you are under there. You can't see any part of the stick nut, when I was done with install I bent the stick part such that they really aren't visible (inside the frame). After the first one it'll all make sense. The rear passenger was the hardest for me, it was also the first stick nut I did... Looks like you have a trail, hopefully not much gas in the tank as that tank strap sounds like it can cause challenges.

To the comments about painting the stick nuts, given the rust right out of the bag I wonder if that will make much difference 3-4 years down the line.
