Just got mine done today. I must say just by removing the resonator to do this, it really allows that v8 to make a nice growl. And in the short drive home with the window down... no exhaust fumes! The shop did a great job and reused my existing tip.
I had them actually re-do the entire length of the piping from the muffler back. I had noticed that the previous owner backed the tailpipe into something. I could see that the bottom of the tailpipe exit was slightly crushed. What I didn't see until recently was that the curve that goes up and over the frame got pushed into the frame and got crushed pretty badly. Honestly, I can't believe much exhaust was even making it through.
