I don't think the vibration is the brackets fault. Just something that happens only on the driver side right when the wind blows over it just perfectly I guess...

CBI ditch light brackets paired with Rigid Industries D2 Driving Lights.

I could not be anymore impressed with this setup it works very well for my needs.

They are well worth the buy in price paid $200 shipped to my door for the lights and $47.99 for the brackets with a shirt (gotta love Black Friday deals!).

I have them turned out just a bit to fill the sides because my light bar is a very focused spot pattern with little to no flood lighting.

Sorry for the dirty truck it rained here earlier this week and having the tires sticking out does not help keep the truck clean lol

The last picture does none of the lights justice as I was just using my phone camera not playing with the exposure

That light difference is astonishing. Really beautiful, I might just have to go with the CBI brackets. How hard is it to wire the lights up?

The Rigid Lights come with a relay harness and switch for a truly plug and play setup. Run the wires plug in the lights and switch then Pos + and Neg - terminals on the battery then you're done.
All my other lights I built the harnesses myself it is not hard to do at all but then again I love wiring/ electrical projects.

Is your price range around 20 bucks? If so just keep in mind that these lights in this price range tend to exaggerate a bit on the specs of the light. My 20" bar on the rear of my truck is from nilight and in less then a year I had to take it apart and reseal it with silicone because rain got inside. Not a huge issue because of the value of the light but just something to keep in mind when ordering lights and maintaining them. As far as wiring them it's really simple. Those lights you listed don't come with a wire harness so you'll have to see what kind of connectors they have on them and the wattage they use to get the correct harness with the proper fuse and relay. If you don't get the right connectors it's an easy fix. Let me know when you pull the trigger and I'll help you with whatever you need.

My 20" bar on the rear of my truck is from nilight and in less then a year I had to take it apart and reseal it with silicone because rain got inside. Actually the price range is what ever ones are good quality. Those look a little cheap, but all I need them is to help me see around turns at night, like up on little dirt roads. Plus they look cool, and not overly flashy in my opinion. When I type flood light or spot light into Amazon or else where they only show the square ones. They would be fine, I just prefer the circle ones a tad bit more. I will totally let you know, and I think my friend has a wiring harness that he'll sell. My only hesitation with that is I am not sure if it'll fit the lights and all

If you want good quality the 2 brands I use are rigid and baja. They have amazing quality, lifetime warranty, optics for any situation and are built to outlast your runner. If your looking for the circle light pods then the ones I have are the squadron pros. They have a combo lens on them so the top 2 leds are spot lights to see down the road and the bottom 2 leds have a wide beam pattern that illuminates the surrounding areas and help a lot with cornering. I can post some night shots if those are some you would be interested in.

Its not as hard as some may or make it out to be. You would be surprised at what you can do.

One problem I foresee is you will most likely be disappointed with the output/ beam pattern of these for the intended purpose. These will most likely not project out far and you will be out running them when you are driving.

Now I am the first one to save a buck but I bit the bullet on the Rigid Pods and spent the extra money. I have friends that have bought and run cheap (under $100) 20"-30" light bars that the D2 pods blow away.

I'm thinking about getting ditch lights, since it's affordable and would be nice on the trail to see a little better.

Would a pair of Rigid Flood Lights do the job well? I'm thinking about aiming them at 2 o'clock on the right and 10 o'clock on the left (if you know what I mean, from the driver seat's view).
Or should I go with the Rigid Driver lights?

Is there a GOOD jack of all trade, or what's the common rule here?

I wonder if it's the hood itself? My '98 hood is way more "wobbly" at
any speed than my '87 or '94 ever was. If you get that just-right harmonic,
the rear lip (nearest the wipers) starts to vibrate.
This was with the bug guard on or not.

I just really need these for camping and off-roading in the dark, which I tend to do a lot. It's thrilling The good thing tho is that the lights I listed are cheap, like so cheap that if they die in a year I woulnd't be heart broken. I looked at the ridgid pods and they look like beauts but a tad bit pricey. I'll look into it, I need new breaks and I am lifting my truck soon, might just say f-it and do like 10 things at once

It looks like he doesn't have a bug guard. Which might play a factor in it? My '99 hood doesn't wobble at all. The only thing that gets some feedback is my bug deflector, and even then it's hardly noticeable.

Wish I could see more setups, I am really digging them and the more I see the more I want to go ahead and do it :worthless: <<

I'd say get the driving light d2 from rigid or spot/wide cornering from baja. Those both provide far and wide light that should work with your use.
