Side mirror lights! Post them here!

Another thing to consider about those side shooters is from what I gather the lights on the side are pointed directly out and not directed towards the ground at all so I'm not sure if they are going to illuminate anything off the fender like ditch lights should they may just help widen the lit area the main pod is hitting. Not sure if I made sense there or not...

D-SS | Driving Pair Surface White Black | Rigid Industries

They state in the description that this works well for A Pillar and the pictures show the lights mounted there as well.
I might be a little naive on this one, I agree, but I would think that it would be ok.

The 120 degrees offer a pretty spectacular light pattern, as shown on the website.

Yeah I saw that on the website too. Just not sure how much throw they have. 120° spread is pretty awesome from a couple of pods, I may have to invest in these just to see what they are capable of.

Looking at the D2 driving spots vs the D-SS driving, we can see that you loose lumens and range when going to the D-SS, but not much. I think it can make for a good option but I wouldn't buy without having more feedback first I think - I can't afford to buy the wrong item now, money is tight!

I'm going to send you a pm, to ask you a question without polluting this thread too much.

That's pretty impressive, the D-SS Spots seems to basically offer an excellent solution for our trucks.

Rigid makes great products.....I F'N HATE STAGED PHOTOS....WHY THE HELL CANT THEY TAKE EXACT SAME VEHICLE, POSITION, CAMERA POSITION, ETC PICTURES/VIDEOS SO WE CAN MAKE THE DECISION???!!! FAAAAACK

Seriously, just show us what the light does compared to your different models....then let us decide what we want. I feel like they stage these pics and sales info so they can sell multiple models instead of just one.

I am like so many others on here....I don't have the option of seeing the lights in use. I am not going to buy some cheap chinese crap, and if I'm dropping close to $400 bucks it's a one shot deal and I'm stuck with my choice.

Right now I've narrowed it down to the Baja Designs Squadron Pro Driving or the Rigid D2 Driving. If the Baja has the clear protective shield available like the Rigid I'm going with that. Again, that is an investment....not interested in damage when I can put a protector to extend the lens life.

I agree with you, many companies don't make comparing their products an easy task! And for me too, I want to go with high quality lights but can't afford to go the wrong way.

Hell, I wouldn't even know if my selected option wasn't the best, because once you've installed yours, how would you compare it with a different beam?

Here is a YT video that I find really useful if like me you're looking at the D2 Driving. Hopefully it helps you in your choice buddy.

Also, have you considered the D2 XL?

I have CBI ditch brackets and D2 and absolutely love the combo I also picked up their ditch light switch and it fits perfectly under my stereo. I use them as forward facing lights and i have no complaints. There is a small amount of glare but it doesn't bother me i don't even notice it to be honest. The install was simple and rigid supply's a wiring harness that makes wiring almost plug and play.

I have looked at the D2 XL. A huge amount more money for a few more lumens, fancy bracket, rubber isolator. I have dumped a lot of money into a new (needed) suspension, winch, and a few other things. I have limited funds for the next year or so.

I absolutely need a new bumper (researched it...will be a Shrockworks because they will make it how I want it....and they actually respond to calls and emails) I also have to do something about the crappy factory head lights. They suck and my old eyes need lots of help. NO!!!! I will not put HID/LED bulbs in and blind other drivers for my gain. So I will add some extra lights to my High Beams, and Low Beams (Rigid SAE Driving Lights) on relays. I want the lights to transfer over to the new bumper (next year), and will install some big 6-7" LED's for off road lighting. I'm not interested in getting stopped and ticketed by the police for running illegal lights.

Anyway...check out the BAJA Designs lights...I have them on my bike (awesome) and their Squadron PRO looks far superior to the Rigid in light output. They have the same reputation for quality and backing their product.

reelamin they don't offer clear. I already asked for my set of squadron pros.

Yeah that was the reason I got the double was to pair different lenses to get the most coverage I could. The ditch mounts themselves are the cbi ones and the extension is made by Rago. You can get the whole set up by Rago as well I just already had the cbi ones. I'm getting some hyper spots from that group buy you signed up for yesterday and hopefully some xl80's from the mint 300 group buy which are going to be insanely bright at 9500 lumens per pod! Can't wait to see what that setup looks like.

Any links to those group buys...totally missed this post??!!

Did you not have a mounting area near the steering wheel? Or did you just want to mix it up?

Well I liked the look of the rocker switch and how it showed a picture of the lights I figured this would be nice if I ever add multiple switches I would be able to know what I was turning on. my first plan was to mount it by the wheel in one of the knock outs but it fit so well also if and when I add more lights it will make a sweet switch panel. IMO.
