Signing for new '14 TEP tonight; what should I know?

The dealership and I have verbally agreed on the new vehicle price and the trade in price for the '08 SE. All that is left is to sign the papers.

Is there anything I should know or be aware of during this process?



These are the prices we agreed on (Bellevue, WA)

If you know you're going to get different tires down the road, have the dealer do that before you pick it up. I had them swap out the OEM's and put BFG AT's on mine before I picked it up.

They said there's a chance it'll have Dunlops on it, and if it does I'll be tossing those right away.

How did your swap work on paper? Did you get any credit for the ones it came with?

Yes I did. The BFG's were more expensive than the OEM's but the sales manager worked a deal with a local tire shop to buy the OEM's and I paid the difference. If you don't get a price break off the tires you want just wear out the OEM's and then swap.

How did your swap work on paper? Did you get any credit for the ones it came with?

I tried like hell to get the dealers around here to play ball with me and buy my OEM Dunlops back, but no one would bite. HOWEVER, I did work it into my deal that the dealer would mount my new tires for free, so I just put them up on Craigslist, bought the new tires, and swapped them out "myself".
