Signs you need to replace CV axle

I'm replacing the needle bearing with the ECGS bushing. While I have everything opened up, is it worth replacing the entire drivers side CV assembly? I have 103k miles, 2010.

What would be signs of needing a new CV? It was rebooted at about 50k.

If there is a grinding or popping from the CVs while you move when you are turning, or if a boot is torn and throwing grease everywhere you might want to look at repairing or replacing it.

Otherwise, if it ain't broke...

[Edit] But if it does break... Only replace with OEM. Pretty much everything else is junk except RCV's which are $$$

^Exactly what [MENTION=129593]MTN4RNR[/MENTION] said. Also, if you do have to replace them, Most dealerships sell factory remanufactured ones at a significantly cheaper price. They are better than the ones you can source locally. The parts store versions have not fit without binding.

I am not familiar with that brand, looks good from reading the site. The key is that they start with OEM CV's
