Silver Supra's build thread

Whew, I got a lot accomplished!

Removed the front CV's and replaced the boots with new OEM boots.
Removed the old 4.10 front diff - pain in the ass!
Put the new 4.30 front diff in and re-assembled.

Went for a test drive and everything felt fine. 4WD engages and disengages perfectly.

I also began wiring up the e-locker with the Low Range Off-Road plug n play harness. I'm about 75% finished but was able to test the e-locker and it works!

I'm psyched and ready to get it all wrapped up.

I would have taken pics but there was grease everywhere and not much to see to be honest.

Feels good to be e-locked! :high5:

Project E-locker swap is complete. I just finished the wiring of the Low Range E-locker harness and everything works. I plan to add a relay because the switch is constantly hot even when the truck is turned off, I'm not a fan of that.

The actuator sounds good and it locks and unlocks perfectly.

Next up is to put a set of 231 brakes on this weekend, then I'll be back on the road.

My new happy switch. :guitar3:

E-lockers rule! Super convenient, just point and go! lol

PS more Supra pics plz

Here you go...

I don't have any recent ones as I now have a set of different wheels on, 15's in the rear with ET streets.

Last pic I took of the engine bay when I was swapping the turbo. Yeah I'm lazy but will try to take some this weekend when it's warmer in the garage. :)

Old GT42 frame turbo and intake manifold setup. Fun but too laggy so it had to go.

I haven't updated this thread in a while but finally have some new stuff bolted to the old girl.

I got my ARB awning mounted which I'm totally psyched about. I had a local buddy fab up some mounts which came out great as it sits nice and tight against my roof rack.

I also picked up a used Shrockworks rear bumper with swing out that needed to get tweaked back into shape since it was hit from behind and the right side pushed out a little bit. Same buddy did some "massaging" and got it back to perfect. I'm thrilled since it saved me about $1500 over a new one and looks great. I need to get the tire and jerry can mounted which came with it but it's raining now and I'm not in the mood to mess with it.

Also... I ended up with these in my garage. :eyebrows::frog::bravo::rockon:

Came out of this donor which obviously had a leaky drivers side valve cover. I'll clean it up before she gets bolted in.

And last but certainly not least, I'm happy to announce that SlvrSupraSub is :preggers: :bigok:

The oil catch can on your Supra, is that an air-oil separator type. If yes, may I know the brand and where you bought it?

Congrats on the coming baby!

Hey guys, I'm going to order some sliders soon and wanted some recommendations.

So far I like the 4x Innovations and was going to spring for the square main tube option - any downsides or feedback on those?

Thanks!

I can't comment on his sliders but I bought 4xI skids and have nothing but good things to say about them. Great kit for the price.

I already received them and they seem very high quality, just need to get them welded on. Good to know about the skids as I've been looking at them too.

The best addition to the 4Runner project has been completed! Meet Bryson!!

He will be our co-pilot on all sorts of adventures when he's a little bigger. I am one proud papa!!
