Silverstars on sale at Advanced Auto Parts

I just saw that the Silverstars are on sale. You can buy the single packs or the dual bulb pack. The single bulbs are buy 1, get another 50% off. That is the same as the dual bulb pack being on sale for $29.97. Then, there is a mail in rebate good for another $5 off. That makes:

2 bulbs for $24.97!!! The smaller bulbs (ie-turn signal bulbs) are under the same promotion where you buy 2 packs and get $5 back. However they DO NOT fit the front turn signal housing and WONT stay in socket. I found out the hard way!

Note--This may only be a regional thing. Make sure to pick up the rebate forms in the store! Not as good as the promo thru pep boys that was posted some time ago, but that wasnt offered in my area anyways.

Thanks for the notification. I am going out tomorrow to buy a set at my local Advance store. Did you install them yet? If so, how long did it take you?

Picked mine up at Advanced Auto a couple weeks ago when this sale started. I purchased the highs, lows and fogs.

Takes a couple minutes each to replace. I think it took me longer to get the blasted package open.

It seriously took more time to get them out of the pack then it did to install them. Hold onto the socket of the bulbs, twist (lefty loosy righty tighty) then pop them out. DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB! I REPEAT---DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB! Wear latex gloves if you have to. The put em back in.

Did you ever find a bulb for the turn/ corner light? I just bought silverstars for my 97 4R and ordered upgraded white bulbs for my hella driving lights. But I can not find any thing to fit the other parking/signal lamp. With a standard white bulb in them I think it will not look right with everything else. Thanks bulb #2825 but I can find nothing in the HD look for this bulb.

Nope...I havent found anything that will fit into the housing. Plus, when I was looking at the bulb they have little bumpb on them that hold them in the socket. Havent found them on ANY replacement bulb.

Does the old corner/signal bulb look ok next to the silverstars? or does it look bad?
