Anyone experienced and fixed this?
I though it was my rear hatch or several hundred pounds of recovery and maintenance gear that I carry, but this week pulled everything out to isolate the problem. Over small, sharp bumps it makes a rattling sound that you would swear is the rear hatch, and is incredibly annoying on washboard roads. If I grab the back two corners on the tray and flex them, it perfectly replicates the sound, so I am sure of the cause - movement between the sliding trail and rails.
I noticed white lithium grease on the rails today, so I bought some and plan on pulling out the tray and liberally lubing the rails
. Any other suggestions?
