Football time is on a sliding logarithmic scale in the 4th dimension. Let me explain: While there is a clock running on the Z axis, or the "time" dimension, there is also another clock running in the 4th dimension which is accounting for all probabilities that could happen in our space time. Next time you are watching a football game, take note: The first quarter takes barely longer than the current Z axis time, the 2nd quarter takes longer, the third quarter takes about as long as the 2nd quarter but the 4th quarter is where time gets interesting. Depending on probabilities of outcomes and injuries, the 4th quarter can take twice as long as the 1st quarter, even though they both only last for 15 minutes. The last two minutes of a 4th quarter can last as long as the first 13 minutes of that said quarter, which in itself lasts much longer than the 13 minutes noted on the Z dimension, which is what most people accept. When I made my statement that my wife is on football time, that was an implication into the stated 4th dimension which accounts for probabilities and outcomes which is quite different than Z axis linear time.

Totally get that...though you forgot to build in the probability of run vs. pass, strength of schedule, penalties/game, etc...into the whole model as these also have an impact on time. Don't forget that the game could also be a blowout, which eliminates the Z-axis altogether - no two minute drill. Collectively, this all drives whether or not you need to get a beer during a break in the action while waiting for your wife to figure out if you're leaving or not so you can be distracted by her lateness and also that your team is losing now (Z axis can come any faster), crash into the back of the garage with or without crap on the roof which ultimately kills the whole plan to leave and go wherever (forgot now since the crash) you meant to go to in the first place.
