To be completely honest, I'm at a loss as to what part is actually bad, the gauge itself or the pcb board. I'm leaning towards the board now as it's the most common cause. I already bought a new sending unit, so I know that part will be good at least.

To be completely honest, I'm at a loss as to what part is actually bad, the gauge itself or the pcb board. I'm leaning towards the board now as it's the most common cause. I already bought a new sending unit, so I know that part will be good at least.
Got the supercharger installed and all lines plumbed today, as well as a new transmission mount. Also tightened down my crossover pipe, and gave the engine bay a minor detailing. Oh, and bolted the 7th injector too.
Tomorrow is install 7th injector ECU module programmable box thingy, and run the lines for the boost gauge.

Didn't get as much accomplished today as I wanted to, all the welding machines were tied up so no exhaust. But I did manage to get the urd pcu installed and wires soldered in to the ECU. Also got tires mounted and balanced.

I am at the same point. Trying o buy a used PCB. If it works great--if not I will try to get it rebuild. Do you know anyone who rebuilds/services the PCB? Thanks for the response. Installing the headers looks like a real chore--how many hours did it take? It is on my to do list along with new suspension.

That is an interesting approach to tackle a large project.
Would "speed" things right along though.
Don't spike it, snort it or smoke it though.
Just swallow it wrapped in a thin layer of tissue.
And don't get hooked on it! :nono:
Got the cat pipes fitted up welded, and all bolted on. Punched out the cats as well, we'll see how that works out lol.

You were my hero, until the cheap head unit...
Unfortunately I couldn't begin to tell you where to find someone that would service the pcb. You might be able to have toyota reprogram it for your specific mileage, but they may be funny about that.
Total hours spent working on removing the old exhaust manifolds and cat pipe, then reinstalling the headers and modifying the cat pipe....around 18 hours. I would suggest spraying everything down with a GOOD penetrating oil (kroil,pb blaster,etc) a day before starting the removal. Also, have a sawzall with 8" blades handy in case you get to a bolt that just won't come off.
All the manifold bolts came out easy peasy, it was the ones that bolt the manifolds to the crossover pipe that really are going to give you hell.
Tools that really helped me out for removal,
Sawzall w/8" blades
3/8" drive breaker bar
12" x 3/8" drive extension with wobble end
12" x 3/8" drive extension with straight end
1" x 3/8" drive extension (used a lot)
Angled long handle 3/8" drive ratchet with swivel head
Female Torx sockets (for removing manifold studs)
3/8" drive stubby ratchet with swivel head
Set of metric swivel sockets
3/8" to 1/4" drive adapter
1/4" to 3/8" drive adapter
1/4" and 3/8" drive swivel adapters
Set of metric ratchet wrenches
1/4" drive ratchet w/deep sockets
6" x 1/4" drive extension
3/8" drive metric deep sockets
Set of various length pry bars.

When you go back on with the headers, you'll quickly find out just how big your arms are, and how good you are at reaching behind your head and wrenching in the blind while laying under the vehicle.
When you get to that time, shoot me a pm, I'll give you any tips that helped me out if you get stuck.
The sound is temporary, I just needed something to get me by for now. I thought it would be pointless to dump a ton of cash on it being that it needed so many other mods first.

Spare tire carrier modified to fit 33, still not sure which way I'm going with this.
I'm totally patenting this technique for installing rear upper shock nuts! lol
Parts installed, needs moar rubber underneath!
Finally sitting on tires again. It's fun hopping up into it now, and talk about ground clearance! So glad I did this lift.
Took it for a test drive around the yard before bringing it in for alignment, and the MAF sensor kicked the bucket. Well, there goes another 200 bucks. Picked up another one and she runs beautiful now, no pinging, plenty of power, and drives straight as an arrow. Just have to take care of some airflow check engine lights and I'll be gtg.

Dropped my girl off at the shop today, I hope they take good care of her. They are the best name in town with plenty of happy customers, so it should be good.
They talked me out of using the Yukon gears, as they have had problems with them in the past, warranties and such. Was told that there hasn't been a single problem with these since they started using the brand. We'll see.
