Snow fog lights

No problem at all.

I simply uninstalled the stock halogen fog lights bulb (H11) and replaced it with H11 Jet Yellow halogen bulbs.

OK, thanks Steve. That bulb replacement will be on my list of things to do! I was/am confused by the bulb size, because this page says the fogs are 9006s, but maybe it wasn't updated for 5th gens.

I wanted to do the same thing not sure about this whole setup. Is it just the bulb replacement (plugs into stock) or you have to buy a kit? Is 6500k too bright? Does anybody have the direct link? thanks

I have always heard a blue tint is the best in the snow. Blue reduces glare from visible white light (such as light reflected from mist, fog, snow, water)

Lightforce also sells blue covers for their lights that are for Snow.

That's the opposite of reality. Blue is reflected very easily by water and snow, hence why the sky and water appear blue and snow appears to have a blue tint to it. It's also why so many people have trouble with those blue HIDs. You want to avoid blue at all costs for actual visibility in poor conditions. Yellow reflects less off of snow flakes and water so it allows you to see further in low vis conditions. Airstrip lights also tend to be yellow for this reason. Blue lights are popular because their glare give the illusion of "brightness". Unfortunately they lower the human eyes overall sense of contrast which is what you actually need for good visibility.
