Snow-packed Tranny Linkage

So I drove home in a raging blizzard last night, and since I'm a dude, and driving in snow is fun, of course I had to aim for all of the drifts/slush piles on the road :D. When I pulled into the garage, the gear shift was stuck in D. I left it over night, hoping it would melt off. It had only melted enough to get into 1,2,D,N, so I had to get under it with a broomstick and knock some of the ice/snow out. Took these before/after pictures, thought it was kinda funny... :D

Here snow means salt, but it's still fun.

The Runner served us well on Sunday when we got a surprise snow storm. A lot of areas got rain, but we had to do about 30 miles of highway at a bit higher altitude where it was raging snow.

With all my 4WD geared up I was able to pass the convoy that was doing 25mph (a little tricky since the passing lane was not in good shape at all) and then I had the whole two lanes to myself and was able to keep about 50mph safely.

Great to have a Runner and leave all those loser cars and CUVs in the dust, or should I say slush.

:hatsoff:

LOL.... guess the grass is always greener. Colorado weather is pretty hard to beat though... we had 70 degrees just a couple of days ago, and our first big snow storm of the year just before that. When January/February rolls around, I'll be wishing for some warm Arizona/New Mexico winter days.
