yes I do....but snow should not be building up in the engine compartment.....that's all I am saying.

I was hoping that this would be an informative post and might spark some discussion....and there have been some very helpful posts but the amount of negative passive aggressive BS posts on here are very disappointing........this is supposed to be a forum where people can come together and discuss topics openly......the current topic may not be a build issue on a front bearing but that's the point of the forum....variety.

From what the photo showed, it seemed like more of a dusting throughout the compartment. You're going to get that. It doesn't seem serious and I wouldn't worry about it. Same thing would happen if you're running dusty trails. That's my "safe space" reply. :grouphug:

took a shot of the drivers side light, there is about twice as much moisture as shown after I drive for a bit...this is after sitting over night.

I didn't see any gasket like the doors have but when I lift up the plastic that goes over the headlights.... where the front and back of the headlights are sealed I see spots where there is clearly some gasket sealer and other areas where there is no sealant .....that I can see at least...

The hood is the exact same hood as the 2010 model. There has been no new design of the hood, which shows how much your techs know and why you should do a bit of research before posting stuff like this. The front end changed, not the hood.

Snow or rain, depending on a lot of factors, will get under the hood. It does not hurt anything as everything is designed to get wet under there.

My engine bay was absolutely CAKED in mud after the Mojave Road, like just baked on gack that I had to let soak for 2 days with a sprinkler I made from spare garden parts. Engine still ran fine.

Frankly I would NOT worry about snow ingress unless you had this guy living in your engine bay:

I have the older trim, this is what mine looks like. I have minimal issues on the drivers side where the dumbass that installed my hood wrap cut the weather seal.

I may add some after market seal like that.....I'm getting a couple of new dust covers for the back of the headlights (drilled holes in the original for the HID grommet) and I'm going to install the original Halogens and see if the moisture goes away.....if not then Toyota said they would replace the headlight assy.

You can cover the hole with electrical tape.

My guess is you drilled a touch too big.

I am just over a year out from doing my HID conversion, and have zero moisture problems.

Never noticed any snow there either despite decent snow here (30" in just one storm last year) and accept the wisdom of smarter people that its no big deal.

But in defense of the OP, I would have questioned it too.
