So Cal 4Runner BS Thread

Also. I'm good finally. Longest 1 1/2 weeks of pavement ever. Hit 500.1 as I pulled into the driveway. Everything is working good. Center diff locked and unlocked without moving. Popped into 2wd without a hitch. I'm excited to test everything out in dirt.

(Left is good gear oil, right is break-in oil)

Hey Danny, did you end up getting a replacement transfer case of did you fix it?

Was out in Anza this weekend. Attempted to do sandstone canyon but there were new collapses so about a 2 miles in it was impassable at the time. But still a good time! Even got to see Oneluv13T4R driving home on the freeway!

I forgot I need to mention that in the spotted thread ...hahaha. I also seen @Assburn just an hour before you on the 10 at Jefferson passing palm desert.

Also a couple us were just at Sandstone and we made it all the way ...impassable?
Shit we even camped all the way in Sandstone

Really? On Friday or Sunday? I was out in Ocotillo Wells again. I saw Mtns_Yo on the 86 on Saturday morning leaving Mecca headed south to Anza. I was picking up a CV Axle since I broke one on Friday night and my spare was jacked up. I also saw about a dozen other toyota rigs from the OC Overland crew headed south almost to the Red Earth Casino as I was heading north to Mecca

Man wondering if that was the end and I️ was just confused or was at the wrong spot. It seemed to dead end with a hill on the left and a collapse to the right.

MACT4R you end up picking up that bumper or was it not built very well? Hard to tell from the pics

Couldn't pass it up. Picked it up and waiting for some spray paint. It is hella beefy and ready for a swing out to be built. I'm gonna finish paint this weekend and fit it on. Hopefully fits like a glove.

Towing wasn't that bad today. Airbags and WDH helped the sag alot. Ran the airbags at about 32psi. I hit a red light at a good sized hill and that was a pain, other than that not too bad. I'll see how it does for my trips the rest of the year.

What rear bumper did you pick up?
Picked it up for $100 from a member on facebook SDORV, custom built based off savage bumper. Just installed it last night. Needs some smoothing out and a little more fab. Peg to add swing out is there, just need to buld it. Not bad for 100 bucks. In the process painting the rims too. Two more to go.

Nice score for $100!
Not bad at all. It's freaking solid and heavy. Made well. Just have to add a few things such as step fill/platform, rear tire swing and gas can holder swing. I'll still come out ahead after all done.

Mine wasn't as good of a score as 100 bucks, but it was basically 70% off a retail bumper. Looks good brotha.

Looking good drunner! Where's the gas can holder? Next fab to add?
Sitting in the garage waiting to be welded on along with the recovery points. Hahah. No time this weekend to get it done ahead of death valley unfortunately.

For now...

vBulletin and tapatalk are the most fuxking garbage message boards ever, yet, for some reason, almost every forum uses it. no automatic resizing, every thread defaults to "read" every time you log in (which is why i never log in unless i have time to wade through every thread i want to read, can't leave any for later or you miss two pages of new comments) ... worst, i tell ya.

I'm on a couple of other forums that use vBulletin and they auto size and only mark threads read when you actually read them. It has to do with Admin settings. I kind of get the feeling the mods/Admins here don't realize that.

That said, I'm liking XenForo more and more, but the migration from one platform to another can be a huge task.
