Any local fabricators I should check out for 3rd gen plate bumpers? I know of Savage, although hat's more of a hybrid style. Demello doesn't seem to make one for 3rd gens.

Looking at various bumpers online, and shipping is close to 2 bills.

Could pony up for the ARB and pickup at 4WP, i guess.

I’ll be going out there on the 7th to prerun the easier stuff for Toyotafest and check out a few obstacles I had to turn around at last time cuz I had stockers in my group.
Assuming I get my steering situation sorted out in time, which is the main reason I can’t make your other trip

this is probably a dumb question but i have to ask since most of you guys are more experienced and have seen more 4runners than I have.

I have a 5th gen with a 6112/5160 setup. 2.5" lift in the front and 1.5" lift in the rear. If i get the 2" spring in the rear, obviously it'll lift the rear end some more but would that also kinda lift the mid-to-front of the 4R as well?

I've seen other 4Rs with the same setup but with 2" springs in the rear and it looks taller to me. i dunno i might be just trippin out.

Yep, the guys from TW that ran it in September. Right now we're at 2 tacos front/rear locked on 35s, me with the same setup, and you. I think Mike said he had a couple other guys that he was going to bring. Right now we're capped at 8 if everyone goes (that's including Paul and Redrun85) I wanna say the other 2 Tacomas are also front/rear locked and 35s if it's who I think it is. Lots of capable rigs and people so it should be a decent run.

I think you'll probably be fine SA and all. Mike wanted everyone on 35s at a minimum, but IDGAF.

Allpro makes a front bumper. They relocated back to helmet I think.

Pelfreybilt was supposedly working on releasing a 1st gen Tacoma/ 3rd gen 4Runner bumper. I saw a spy pic in another thread that I can’t seem to find. They’re in Poway I believe. You could call them up to see where they’re at with it and inquire about pricing :shrug:

Their 3rd gen front bumper requires a custom adapter to be mounted/ welded and is a somewhat permanent modification. Apparently this bumper doesn’t work with all aftermarket front skids from what I’ve read on T4R.org. It looks pretty damn good on 3rd gens though. As of now, no, but thatll probably change once i start working on it.

I would probably go with some kind of Bilstein 5100 combo for suspension, great on road manners and decent off road. As for running boards it depends on if you need the functionality of the step, if you do you can get something like nerf bars, if not you can either get some sliders or just remove them.

Thanks for the recommendation. Ill definitely be needing some kind of running boards or nerf bars because i have some short people that already have trouble getting in and out of the truck as it is hahaha.
