So here's a weird one - Power windows not working after starter rebuild

So, I just rebuilt my starter yesterday (thanks to this forum) and got it installed this morning. I went out to the store this evening and realized that now, only my driver's window rolls down. The rear window in the hatch doesn't work, but the sunroof does. What the heck is going on? Coincidence?

Check if the children lock is turned on. This got me a couple weeks ago, thought I had an electrical fault. Simple mistake.

Two days after buying my 4Runner I was showing it off and of course everyone loves the rear window. Well I end up looking like an idiot cause the rear window won't go down. 2 hours later I realize it's the safety lock.

The safety switch is also useful for pets, mine always managed to roll the side windows down... LOL! :banana:

I think they are referring to the window lock. The push button next to the door lock.

This is awesome! Between my leaking rear differential fluid and windows cutting out, I was starting to think it might time to retire my truck! Little did I realize that dumb dumb me had accidentally hit the child lock button. I was laying in bed last researching thinking there was an electrical issue when I came across this post and realized holy s**t I have a child window lock! :crazy: lol

Seems a lot of folks not being able to find buttons today. Buttons and steering rack nightmares.
