So Who's had To Replace Their Heater Control Valve?

Thank you very much. So if I put the blue arrow hose to where the green is, where do I put the green arrow hose? Where the blue was? And will this keep how water from flowing to heater core so that my ac cools as much as possible? If it weren't for BAD LUCK, I'd have no luck at all! Thanks

You can leave it attached to the heater core or take it off and store it for when you replace the heater control valve. You might be able to bend it back to the other heater core connection.

I think you have to have so mavy posts or activities before PM becomes active.

I pulled 2 of theses valves off at a pick and pull with my 3rd being off my parts rig.

So you have to keep an eye on it but should buy you some time until you get a new one.

It's very common for these to fail leak and break due to their age now .

This is why most users always by new ones to replace them.

If/when you replace the heater valve with a new one, I wouldn't buy it from Amazon unless it's an oem one. I went through 3 different cheap valves from Amazon in a little over a year, all junk and leaked within a few months.

I finally bought an OEM one from part-souq, it was way cheaper than anywhere here in the states. Since the part is small and light, even with shipping, it was still way cheaper.

I can't remember which member on here got one from Napa but he said it's been working fine for several years now if you want to go that route.

I’ve been ordering a lot of parts from amayama lately. It takes me a couple weeks to find time to install them so what’s a little more time waiting for them to arrive? Lol

I can understand trying to save some $$.
