SoCal 4Runner Shop Thread

Does the the 3/4 even require drilling? thought it lined up with the factory holes?
3/4 lines up straight with the factory. I'm upgrading from a 3/4 to a full rack. I bought the Rivnut tool from FrontRunner so I'm going to give it a shot.

Looking for tint and got a couple of quotes for around $220 and one place quoted $400 for ceramic. Is this pretty reasonable? Trying to stay around the Huntington Beach area.

Best place near the LA/SGV to have put in an arb rear locker in a new 4Runner? Just looking to get locker done, I'm installing the comp and tubing myself. Weekend work a plus.
RPM offroad in Monrovia, or you could make the trip to HB Toyota.

you got your 4runner! what/where did you end up going? good deal?

Tw tinting for the ceramic. Saw they had great reviews. Should I check out tint pros?

Thanks for the reply.

I have used Tint pros on seven vehicles over the years, (three with ceramic). They have always done great work with quality tint that holds up. Because of that, I just trust they give me fair pricing and don't take the time to shop around.

Thanks for the reply, I'll give them a call this morning.

Just updating that I went with The Tint Pros. While more expensive, the customer service was stellar. Asked around and found a few people I know used them over the years as well and all were happy with the product. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just moved to SD. Would The Truck Shop in San Diego be a good place to have a swing-out tire carrier welded and installed on my rear bumper?

They are definitely a good option that's local to you. If you want to come farther north there's Yotamasters in Corona that would also be good.

Cool. Thanks. I will keep it local. That place is only an exit or two away from where I live.

Are they making it for you?

Nope. It's a 4x Innovations swing out carrier. I'm still waiting on it. I have their rear bumper. It's a quality piece, and the turnaround time was good, so I went back for the carrier.

I guess while I'm at it, I should ask about good powder coating shops around here. I did some research and came up with this one: https://www.yelp.com/biz/anocote-powder-san-diego-2?osq=powder+coating.

Any thoughts?

Body Mount Chop - 5th gen

Can anyone recommend a fab shop that can do a body mount chop/cab chop on a 5th gen.

I recently installed 285's and it's rubbing in that area at full lock. esp in reverse.

A shop on the westside would be preferable.

thank you for any help/leads!

SoCal Differential Shop Recommendations

Hi everyone, I was guided to the SoCal section on an earlier post (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/244681-socal-differential-shop-recomendations.html#post2809476) but I'll ask here again

I'm looking for a shop in the SoCal area that has experience or specializes in rear differentials. I want to get my rear-end re-geared with a 4.10 (currently 3.73), and possibly add either an Eaton locker or LSD. Still trying to decide which one to go with.

Does anyone have an experience or recommendations of reputable shops anywhere in the South Bay, Los Angeles, San Gabriel, or other nearby areas?

Thanks!

Try Dirty Parts. They're located near Marina del Rey (Dirtyparts.com) reputable but I would still shop around for better pricing if you're willing to go out further. I stay away from 4wheelparts unless there's no other choice

Agree on both

I replied on OPs other thread suggesting Hoopers Rear End in Sun Valley
