body mount chop

BMC? Tried mixed metal works and they were fully booked within 30 mins of new appts. openings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just got back from the Eastern Sierras. Leaving June Lake my sister cut a tire on a rock. Didn't realize till we left Bishop that the TPS monitor came on. Cut sidewall and a new BFG was done. However the girl at the shell station recommended Perez Tire & Lube down the street. So off we went, slowly! Got there and were met by the nicest ppl you'd ever meet. Gio and his brother were very courteous and when he didn't have the tire in stock, sent his brother 13 miles back to Bishop to get one! Had us back on the road within an hour! All for $140! I can't say enough good things about these guys! Could have gouged us royally but they didn't. If you ever find yourself in need in the Lone Pine, Independence, Big Pine, or Bishop area, call these gentlemen! They will see you back on your way.

A lot of shops are booked 30+ days out for fabrication work.

Two places that I've had good luck getting in without much wait (for small welding jobs at least) have been DMZ Fab in Norco, and The Truck Shop in San Diego.

Took another shot at an alignment shop. I took it to performance plus in LB because it was close and I thought that they were competent in alignments (after my kings lift).. they weren't. The rub was actually more prominent after the alignment. They said they weren't able to adjust the caster because it would of been out of spec. Sooo long story short, had my 5K maintenance done at Cabe Toyota and met with a service advisor named Kenny. He was the one who arranged the OC Overland meeting there and he was saying that his guys that work here can fix the rubbing issue.. Yes it did. I no longer rub on the body mount. Thanks Kenny for the help if you're out here! And thanks everyone for the help! This 4runner community is great!

The Truck Shop did a great job on mine, give them a call. (858) 408-0314

Does anyone recommend any shops around the Los Angeles (310, and 626) area for vinyl wrapping? Also willing to go to OC and Southbay area.

Hey guys, just wanna vouch for Matt (mwray8909) and his installation work on my 4Runner. He squeezed me into his schedule to install a set of Pro takeoffs (shocks/coils on all four corners) on my KDSS Trail. He's extremely thorough and put me at ease, taking the time to show me what he looks for during his installs. We completed the work in his driveway in less than 5 hours- when I say we, I mean I handed him tools and lent a hand here and there. He does excellent work at a fair price. On a side note, the Pro setup rides nicely. Haven't had a chance to stretch it out yet but will update my thread when I do.

He's just above Ventura, CA in Casitas Springs, though he will be moving soon. Here's his number- 618.409.2505

Thanks again Matt!

Anyone have a reputable welder in the Santa Clarita, San Fernando or Pasadena area. Need to have my panhard correction kit welded on my 3rd gen.

If Lincoln Heights (near DTLA) isn't too far, Dark Moon Fabrications welded my 4x sliders and would likely be able to do the panhard. He does BMC, etc, drives an FJ. DM me if you want his details.

Already got it welded, but I'll most likely go there for anything else in the future. Thanks for the heads up.

Need a few good recommendations for Billstein 5100 install front 1.75”/with 1” rear spacer on my 2016 Trail with KDSS in San Diego area....4 W parts and ORW have miserable reviews on line, and would like other options. Thanks!

If you're in the Orange County area and you need mechanical work, look no further:

Japanese Car Specialties - (949) 583-0811
25672 Taladro Circle, Unit H
Mission Viejo, CA 92691

Went there today, John is awesome... they are def not the cheapest but great value for what you pay for. He checked all of my suspension parts, gave recommendations, tightened some bolts.. Really happy

Very knowledgeable ... If you are OC, check them out. thanks ChildrenOfBodom for the recommendation
