Soft top education please

Greeting fellow T4R lovers. I am wondering if anyone knows ABOUT how much a soft is forth for the 1st Gen? I am waiting on pic from the seller but he claims it’s like brand new and they haven’t sold this particular one in over 20 yrs. He also claims it’s the type that uses the rear window and that sounded peculiar to me. Can anyone chime in on this and educate me so I know what I should be paying? Thanks!

UPDATE...he claims it is infact a suntop soft top and says its worth around $1200.00 WOW! to much for me

Good soft tops like the CanBack are in the $1000+ range.
The ones made by Kayline were in the $600-800 range.

Thanks for the info....the guy did tell me it was a suntop soft top and apparently those were the best of the best at the time. I am trying to get it for around 5oo but not sure he is biting.
